You might know that in my story, I have been somewhat of an explorer charting my own path. Maybe that's your story, too!

Did you know that part of my story includes being a game designer? I've designed all kinds of events and experiences, but games are among my favorite kinds of experiences to create.

Playfulness is something that comes naturally to us when we're very young, and then life tends to train it out of us, which can sometimes make creative folks struggle to find joy and inspiration in the things that once lit them up.

Games are a great way to connect with other people in a structured way. If you have any degree of social anxiety or shyness, the rules of the game can offer some predictability around what to say or do, which takes pressure off of both you and those you're interacting with.

As 2025 quickly approaches, it's a good time to reflect on what will be most important toward having the best possible year you can. Something I think will be important to have in 2025 is a strong and supportive community. Who is that for you? Who is on the grand, epic adventure of life with you? Who have you allowed and invited into your travel party?
