Who's on the adventure with you?

What adventure? The adventure of life, of course.

If we imagine life like a video game, a tabletop game, or any comforting old favorite film about an adventure (what's yours?), we can think about how we're all on a quest, or maybe various quests, throughout life. We have people who are part of our travel party for some of the time, a long time, or maybe just a brief moment, but who still impact us. None of them are NPCs - each has their own rich story in which we also play a role. There are no main characters, just many interwoven stories ever unfolding.

The new year is as perfect a time as any to celebrate the people in your life, on your adventure. This time of year is often one when we reconnect with those who aren't necessarily part of our everyday adventures, but who have been part of our story for a long time. How do we weave their stories in with those who are part of our daily travel party? How can we combine old friends and new friends, and the old selves and new selves that those respective groups might know and love?

This is where a half-day game experience like An Epic Quest Is NYE: 2026 Edition can make your adventures truly magical. Past adventurers have loved the game's ability to connect groups of both old and new friends and relive old memories while making plenty of new ones. Use promo code EPIC2026 to try out this game with your own travel party for just $26.

Additionally, here's a teaser of what you get on the inside of the quest...a sneak preview of Part II of Round 2:

Part II Once the mural is done, everyone can sign their work as their character names. Someone should photograph the completed mural (especially if it’s their Secret Power). Then, because we need to vanquish these foes, take the containers of water and take turns pouring them over the mural to erase it and your foes to reset for the new year. You can film this process as well if you’d like.

In or near the wet remains of the foes, take time now to draw what you’re hopeful for in the new year in a new mural, adding 30 more minutes to the timer. Change the music to something more upbeat and get excited for good things to come.

The purpose of this activity is to remember that everything in life is temporary, both challenges as well as things we take for granted, like important friendships. How can you as a group resolve to stay connected and continue to support each other in the new year? What did you learn about each other from this activity?

Intrigued? Play the full quest for just $26 with code EPIC2026. Or, send to a friend!

This code won't expire in January and neither will the relevance of the game. Purchase and play in the new year too! The sale runs until mid-February for any moment you can find for a ritual of joy, playfulness and connection with those who matter most.
