Your reminder (and mine) to prioritize rest and self care

It's a busy time of year, but hopefully also a season of rest.

If you are someone who doesn't always get a break when you need one, or hasn't given yourself permission to rest in the past, I hope you find the rest you need this season, even if carving out the time and space is a challenge. You and your wellbeing are worth protecting and fighting for in a season of stress and busy-ness.

I am about to embark on a rest period which my body's been signaling quite loudly that it needs, and even I, work/life balance superfan and advocate for following your energy, still hear faint (and sometimes not-so-faint) echoes in my head from my most grueling corporate years that try to tell me I don't deserve to care for myself.

So I'm here to remind you that you do indeed deserve rest, coziness, unhurriedness, and whatever will make this season truly joyful.
